Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.3627), the regulation, according to which regular elections of deputies of local councils, village, settlement, city mayors are held simultaneously with elections of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, is excluded from Article 14 of the effective Law. The People´s Deputies suppose that in case the said norm is excluded, it will become possible to coordinate the Law with the Constitution of Ukraine and the Constitution of the Crimean Autonomous Republic.
The Committee believes that adoption of the Bill will prevent legal collision, when the Parliament will adopt a resolution on appointment of regular elections of deputies of local councils, village, settlement, city mayors, and when the Verkhovna Rada of the Crimean Autonomous Republic will pass a resolution on appointment of regular elections of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Crimean Autonomous Republic.
